Important Note: Make sure to measure your mattress before cutting. Standard twin mattresses vary by region. Adjust the internal “bed box” dimensions in your software accordingly.
Step-by-Step Assembly Guide
- Material Prep: Secure your plywood sheet to the CNC bed using a vacuum table or clamps.
- The Cut: Run the DXF file. We recommend using a Dog-bone Fillet on the internal corners of the slots to ensure the tabs fit perfectly.
- Sanding: Sand all surfaces with 120-grit, moving up to 220-grit for a smooth finish.
- Painting: This is where the magic happens! Use bright Red, Blue, or Yellow paint. You can even use vinyl stickers for the “wheels” and “racing stripes.”
- Assembly: Slot the side panels into the headboard and footboard. Apply wood glue to the joints for a permanent bond.
